- Bet365 has launched mobile sports betting in Colorado.
- The launch is in partnership with Century Casinos which owns and operates properties in Central City and Cripple Creek.

After what seems like forever, Bet365 has gone live in the beautiful sports betting oasis of Colorado. This moves the number of mobile sportsbooks under the auspices of the state’s Divison of Gaming back to 24. That number had dropped to 23 after TwinSpires withdrew from the sports betting business. Colorado’s two tribal casinos aren’t under the direct oversight of the Division of Gaming. Ute Mountain Casino has a retail sportsbook and have been teasing a mobile app forever. Sky Ute Casino has a mobile app available throughout Colorado.
Bet365 has launched in partnership with Century Casinos, which operates properties in Cripple Creek and Central City. One of the few negatives about Colorado’s gaming industry is that they still placate the legacy gaming industry with the ‘tethering’ nonsense. Bet365 has been a long time coming–the partnership with Century Casinos was announced just a couple of weeks after Colorado’s regulated sports betting industry opened for business in May 2020. Rumors about Bet365’s involvement began earlier than that. Colorado becomes Bet365’s second US presence along with New Jersey. They also launched in Ontario earlier this year.
Century Casinos also has online sports betting deals with Tipcio and Nevada based Circa Sports. As of yet, they don’t have a retail sportsbook at either of their Colorado properties. The company has acquired a couple of properties in other states during the past year, purchasing the venerable Nugget Casino Resort (formerly John Ascuaga’s Nugget) in Sparks, Nevada along with the Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Maryland. With Maryland in the process of implementing sports betting, you can expect that Century Casinos will get involved in some capacity. Any of their three mobile gaming partners would be a welcome addition to the Maryland sports betting scene. They also own the Mountaineer Casino Race Track & Resort in West Virginia where they’ve got a partnership with Caesars Sportsbook for mobile and retail sports betting.
