- The SuperBook mobile sports betting app is now live in Virginia.
- This is the company’s ninth state including the flagship location at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
- The SuperBook is considered one of the most influential sportsbooks in Nevada.
It was just a few years ago that SuperBook launched their first presence outside of Nevada with mobile betting in Colorado. They had hoped to launch by the end of September 2022 but with the COVID pandemic raging they did a good job not missing it by much. Things got off to a dubious start in the Centennial State–when they were added to the list of Colorado licensed sportsbook operators a typo in the URL sent visitors to ‘co.subperbook.com’. They also launched their first retail location outside of Nevada in June 2021 at the Lodge Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado.
Their fortunes have improved dramatically since then. The operation in Colorado is still growing strong and including their ‘flagship’ location at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino they’re operating in nine jurisdictions. In addition to Colorado and Nevada they’re live in Arizona, Iowa, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and now Virginia.. The press release announcing the Iowa launch cryptically informs us that announcements on additional states are ‘just around the corner’. I’m guessing they’ll include Ohio, Maryland and Ontario.
SuperBook Sports’ CEO and Managing Partner Mark Lipparelli is happy to go live in another high quality sports betting market with the launch in Virginia:
“We couldn’t be happier with our continued growth. We are thrilled to be live in Virgina and feel confident that we have a great product with a strong history that will become a fast favorite of sports bettors in the region. Sports fans in the region can find all their favorite teams and get in the action with some of the best sports traditions in the country.”
The press release rightfully touted SuperBook oddsmakers Jay Kornegay and John Murray as a couple of the best in the business. Kornegay–who holds the title of ‘Executive Vice President of Race & Sports Book Operations’ even got to drop a quote:
“Going live in Virginia is a perfect complement to our quickly growing business in Maryland. With our heritage and the passion that fans bring in that area, it is sure to be a great fit. We pride ourselves on our expansive menu and will have great offerings for everything from the Commanders to the Ravens and the Nationals to our proud partners, the Orioles.”
If you’re in Virginia, you can download the SuperBook Sports app from the Apple App story or the Google Play Store. You can also access their web interface at va.SuperBook.com.
