FRIDAY Iowa Hawkeyes (-6.5, 44. 5) @ UCLA Bruins
UCLA is coming off a massive victory over Nebraska but returns home to take on Iowa on a short week. Kaleb Johnson has been having an unreal season with the Hawkeyes, 1,279 yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven games with at least 100-yards on the ground. As a team, Iowa is No. 10 in the nation averaging 222.4 PPG but UCLA only allows 100 yards a game on the ground so if the Hawkeyes can find running room, they should run away with this one.
THE PICK: Iowa -6.5
Michigan Wolverines @ Indiana Hoosiers (-13, 46.5)
Last week, Indiana fell behind 10-0 before scoring 47 unanswered on its way to a 47-10 win over Michigan State. Kurtis Rourke’s return was exceptional, 263 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Hoosiers are 8-1 ATS and have a cover margin of more than 17 points. Michigan played tough vs No.1 Oregon last week, likely deserved to cover the 14.5 spread, but the Ducks scored with 25 seconds left to win by 21. The Wolverines are 2-7 ATS this season.
THE PICK: Indiana -13
Mississippi State Bulldogs @ Tennessee Volunteers (-24, 58.5)
While the Bulldogs have only won twice this season, they are 7-2 on the OVER. They average 29 points a game but surrender almost 35 PPG. And when you look at the last four games, Mississippi State has gone over the total by more than 13 points per game. This total should rise leading up the game time. Tennessee hasn’t scored more than 28 points in its last 5 games and is No. 5 in the nation allowing just 12.4 PPG. The Vols defense has been incredible and should hold the Bulldogs to minimal points. THE
PICK: UNDER 58.5
Alabama (-3. 58.5) @ LSU
It’s the biggest game of the season for both teams with College Football Playoff implications on the line. The Crimson Tide are 6-2 but play three unranked teams after, so a win here means they likely get into the CFP as a two-loss team. LSU is 6-2, come off a 38-23 loss to Texas A&M and face the same scenario as Bama. The total opened at 60.5 and with so much on the line, this game wreaks of a lower scoring game than a shootout. Alabama has held opponents to under 25 points in the last three games while LSU has surrendered 26 or less in the last three weeks.
