Jets Take on Surprising Cardinals: Odds, Trends, Player Props

The Jets kept their season alive with a huge Week 9 win against the Texans but now face one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now, the Cardinals. Arizona has won three straight and sitting in first in the division. Meanwhile, New York sits in 10th in the AFC, and is looking to continue its push into a wild card spot. Who has the edge? Let’s break things down.

New York Jets Betting Preview

The Jets finally figured things out against the Texans last week rallying from a 7-0 deficit to defeat Houston 21-13. Aaron Rodgers looked like his former MVP self throwing for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Jets could have the best 1-2 punch at receiver as Garrett Wilson had 90 yards and two scores while Davante Adams finished with 91 yards and a major. Can Rodgers take advantage of the ninth worst passing defense? Chicago had 217 passing yards last week but didn’t manage to find the end zone. Expect a good combination of Breece Hall on the ground and airing it out to Wilson and Adams Sunday.

Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview

The Cardinals are turning into the surprise team of the season starting 1-3 but winning four of the last five and leading the NFC West. Kyler Murray is getting some MVP consideration of late as the Cards continue to win. Last week, it was the ground attack doing the damage as Arizona ran for 217 yards, James Conner with 107 of them. The run game could be an important part of the game plan vs the Jets as they ranked 12th from the bottom against the run allowing 132 yards per game. Last week, the Jets gave up 187 yards to the Texans and New York does have big problems stopping the run.

Player Prop Best Bets

Garrett Wilson: OVER Receiving Yards

Garrett Wilson has been heating up over the last two weeks, 14 receptions for 203 yards and two touchdowns. With the addition of Davante Adams, opposing defenses have a big problem, double team Adams, and Wilson is wide open. This trend will continue against the Cards.

James Conner: OVER Rushing Yards

James Conner ran for 100 yards last week against the Bears reaching the century mark for the fourth time this season. He has been averaging 4.52 per carry and has four rushing scores. The Jets have given up 11 rushing TDs and give up 4.3 YPC.
