There’s no undefeated team in the SEC, which rarely happened in previous years but there are two huge games in the conference that could have implications to the College Football Playoff race. Second-ranked Georgia is a 2.5-point favorite at Ole Miss while Alabama is a field goal favorite at LSU.
Georgia Bulldogs vs. Ole Miss Rebels
Georgia survived a scare against Florida last week and is still on course to make the CFP. The Bulldogs only loss came at the hands of Alabama but now face No. 16 Ole Miss, who are a two-loss team, and another loss, and any hopes of a playoff spot are dashed. The Rebels looked unstoppable last week against Arkansas hanging 63 points on them. QB Jaxson Dart threw for 515 yards and 6 touchdowns and no interceptions. added six passing touchdowns without an interception. He only missed on six passes in the entire game and led Ole Miss to 63 points. Ole Miss is No. 2 in the country averaging 555.4 yards a game while scoring 42 per outing. The Rebels have been dominant against the run allowing 82 yards a game, second best overall. If the defense forces Georgia on its heels early, the Rebels are capable of pulling off the mini upset.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. LSU Tigers
LSU looked unbeatable against Texas A&M two weeks ago but then the Aggies made a quarterback change and nothing went right for the Tigers after en route to a 38-23 loss. But they should be ready for this showdown as Bama is also coming off a bye and handily beat Missouri 34-0. After beating Georgia, the Crimson Tide are 2-2 since, with losses to Vanderbilt and Tennessee.
Meanwhile, Alabama is also coming off a bye week. The Crimson Tide most recently beat Missouri, 34-0, at home. But that win was mostly due to playing against Missouri’s backup quarterback, Drew Pyne. Pyne completed six passes and threw three interceptions. Jalen Milroe started the season throwing 8 TDs in the first 3 games, but since then, 5 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He’s shown he can get rattled and if the LSU defense can do that, the Tigers should keep it close, and all signs point to this being a field goal game, on either side.
