Lockheed Armed Forces Bowl

Oklahoma (-5, T-43.5) vs Navy

Navy upset Army a couple of weeks ago as quarterback Blake Horvath ran for 204 yards and scored twice. Army now faces a Sooners defense that allows 2.9 yards per rushing attempt. Oklahoma will have extra time to get ready for Navy’s unique offense but they will have a new cast of players on the offensive side of the ball. Points could come at a premium in this game so expect a low scoring game.

THE PICK: Under 43.5

Birmingham Bowl

Georgia Tech (-2.5, T-51.5) vs. Vanderbilt

The betting line implies this should be a tight game. Between the two teams, they’ve played 13 one-score games this season. The Commodores were 3-4 and the Yellow Jackets were 4-2 in those games. So we should expect another close one here. Both offenses should find success and Georgia Tech’s offensive line may be the difference in the trenches.

THE PICK: Georgia Tech -2.5

Autozone Liberty Bowl

Arkansas (-2, T-54.5) vs. Texas Tech

Texas Tech beat both teams that played for the Big 12 Championship, Arizona State and Iowa State. Arkansas handed playoff-bound Tennessee one of its two defeats. Now they meet in the Liberty Bowl. The Red Raiders had the Big 12’s top scoring offense during the regular season, averaging 39 PPG and went OVER in five of the last six while Arkansas went OVER in three of its last five. Both teams should find success offensively, so let’s go with a high scoring game.

THE PICK: Over 54.5

DirecTV Holiday Bowl

Syracuse (-14, T59.5) at Washington State

This line started at 5 points but ballooned to double-digits as the Cougars roster is in shambles. They lost starting quarterback, John Mateer, who entered the portal. Mateer led all of college football with 44 total touchdowns. Also gone, RB Wayshawn Parker, a pair of safeties, a starting defensive tackle, and the punter. Oh, and the head coach bolted to take a job with Wake Forest. Syracuse’s Kyle McCord and Washington State’s John Mateer. Most of Syracuse’s key contributors off its 9-3 team are expected to suit up including star-studded quarterback Kyle McCord. We should see lots of points.

THE PICK: Syracuse -14, Over 59.5

SDS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl

Texas A&M (-3.5, T-52) vs. USC The Trojans are 14-11 over the last two seasons and Lincoln Riley has to be feeling the heat. Texas A&M poses a major challenge with a ground game led by Marcel Reed and Amari Daniels. USC QB Jayden Maiava has a 60.8% completion rate in his three starts and the Trojans defense has to hold up if there’s any chance of an upset.

THE PICK: USC +3.5 & Under 52
