The game of the day in Saturday’s Premiership action will take place at King Power Stadium as Leicester City hosts Arsenal. The Foxes are in third place with 23 points, Arsenal is in 5th place with 17 points. Leicester City has yet to lose at King Power Stadium in EPL play this year with a 4-1-0 record scoring 12 and conceding 3. Arsenal, meanwhile, has been vulnerable on the road going 1-2-2 away from Emirates Stadium scoring 5 and conceding 7.
The Gunners have not been in particularly good form in any competition of late. Their last victory of any type was on October 24 in Europa League play as they took a 3-2 decision from Vitoria Guimaraes at Emirates Stadium. It’s doubtful that beating a Portugal Primeira Liga by a goal on their home pitch gives them much solace but that is their only victory in their past six in all competitions. During that time they lost 1-0 to Sheffield United in Premier League play, beat Vitoria Guimaraes, drew with Crystal Palace at home in EPL action, lost to Liverpool on penalties in League Cup action after a wild 5-5 draw, drew against Wolves at home in Premier League play, and drew with Vitoria Guimaraes in Europa League action in Portugal. Away from home, they’ve got only two victories in all competitions since August 4 with a Premier League win at Newcastle United and a Europa League win at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Leicester City is on quite an unbeaten run at King Power Stadium. Save for a 1-0 loss to Newcastle United last April they’re unbeaten in 11 at home. Since the Newcastle loss they’re 6-2-0 at home in all competitions and dating back to March of this year they’re on a 9-1-2 run in all competitions on their own pitch. Last year, these teams split a pair of games with each winning at home. Expect the same result here.
