Bally Bet Mobile Sports Betting App Launches In Colorado

  • Bally’s Corporation has launched their ‘Bally Bet’ mobile sports betting app in Colorado.
  • This is the first mobile sports betting market for Bally’s with plans to launch in Indiana, Iowa and New Jersey by the end of the year.
  • Bally Bet is the 22nd sportsbook app to enter the Colorado market under the auspices of the Division of Gaming.

In Bally’s Corporation’s (NYSE: BALY) Q1 earnings call held on May 10 Senior Vice President Adi Dhandhania indicated that they would be launching their ‘Bally Bet’ sports betting app in Colorado by the end of the month. They reached that objective with a week to spare. The Bally Bet app launched in the Centennial State earlier today and is available for both Android and iOS at:

Colorado is the first state for the Bally Bet mobile sports betting platform developed by Bet.Works – a highly regarded sportsbook technology company that is in the process being acquired by Bally’s. Over the past six months Bally’s has done a phenomenal job retooling the company from a brick-and-mortar retail gaming operator into a serious player in mobile sports betting. They’re still well invested in retail casino gaming–and have recently added the Las Vegas Tropicana to their portfolio–but they are now arguably better integrated for growth in US sports betting and iGaming than any other company. Here’s some more detail from the press release announcing the Colorado launch:

Bally’s Corporation (NYSE: BALY), a leading U.S. omnichannel provider of land-based gaming and interactive entertainment, today announced that it has entered the mobile sports betting market with the beta launch of its mobile sportsbook, Bally Bet, in Colorado. Bally Bet, which will offer a variety of unique and innovative features to sports betting fans across the Centennial State, was developed by Bet.Works – a premier, U.S. regulated sportsbook technology platform being acquired by Bally’s. The beta launch, which will be accompanied by limited marketing, will focus on the deployment, testing and refinement of the Bally Bet app and its content. Bally’s intends to incorporate enhancements to the Bally Bet app over the coming weeks.

Bally’s even created a short video showing some of the features of their new sports betting platform (I think this is what is known as a ‘sizzle reel’ in the public relations world):

I just downloaded the Bally Bet app and will be looking it over tonight. In our next post we’ll have more coverage of the Bally Bet launch and where you can expect to see it next.

At the time of publication, James Murphy has a long position in BALY.
