  • Betr Sportsbook has made a ‘soft launch’ in Ohio and Virginia.
  • The sportsbook is planning to launch in Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Kentucky pending regulatory approval.

Betr Holdings, Inc., a leading sports gaming and media company, has announced the launch of its peer-to-peer product “Group Mode” for Betr Picks, along with the soft launch of its new Betr Sportsbook, just in time for the NFL season. The launch of Group Mode will make Betr Picks live in Florida and Massachusetts, with additional states such as Virginia, Arizona, Tennessee, Missouri, Alabama, West Virginia, New Hampshire, and Delaware to follow soon. These launches will expand Betr Picks to 33 states and Washington, D.C.

“Group Mode” brings a new peer-to-peer format to Betr Picks, allowing users to compete against each other in fantasy sports. This expansion increases Betr Picks’ reach to 34 jurisdictions, covering approximately 65% of the U.S. population. The product offers users a popular fantasy sports “pick ’em” game with enhanced engagement through this peer-to-peer mode.

The new Betr Sportsbook soft launched in Ohio and Virginia, with plans for further rollouts in Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Kentucky, pending regulatory approval. Built on the Chameleon platform acquired from Fans Unite in May 2023, the sportsbook includes an intuitive user interface and offers a wide array of betting options beyond microbetting. These include Same Game Parlays (SGP), Same Game Parlays Plus (SGP+), player props, futures, exotics, and traditional markets such as moneyline, point spread, and over/unders, available for both pre-match and in-play wagering.

Joey Levy, Founder and CEO of Betr, commented on the launch:

“We are thrilled to launch Group Mode for Betr Picks and to soft launch the new Betr Sportsbook. Today’s two product launches represent an important inflection point for Betr – Betr Picks will now be available to 65% of the U.S. population, enabling us to welcome millions of new sports fans to Betr for the first time, while the new Betr Sportsbook puts us on a path towards ramping up investment in this vertical and positions us as a serious contender in the online sports betting industry.”

Founded in 2022 by Joey Levy and Jake Paul, Betr has quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to sports gaming. The company’s focus on a simplified user interface aims to attract casual sports fans, capturing a portion of the underpenetrated online gaming market. Betr’s media division, Betr Media, has also seen rapid growth, amassing over 7.3 million followers and generating 4 billion impressions across social channels since its launch in August 2022.

Betr is positioning itself for continued growth with future product enhancements for both Betr Picks and Betr Sportsbook. The company is also preparing to launch its iGaming vertical with Betr Casino, further expanding its footprint in the online gaming space.

With a strong media presence and innovative gaming products, Betr is poised to be a major player in the U.S. sports betting and gaming industry.
