- Boyd Gaming offers one of nine mobile sports betting apps available to Las Vegas players.
- Earlier this week, the gaming company announced a ‘significant upgrade’ to their B Connected Sports app.
- The wagering menu has been expanded and the app now offers a wider variety of in-game betting opportunities.
The Las Vegas area is still stuck at 9 mobile sportsbook options after losing a pair of ‘outs’ in the past couple of weeks. They can take some solace in the fact that Boyd Gaming is releasing a substantially upgraded version of their mobile app in advance of the NFL football season.
The B Connected Sports app for iOS and Android has received what the company is describing as a ‘significant upgrade’. A press release issued by Boyd Gaming provided more details about the new app:
Just in time for the start of the professional football season, Boyd Gaming today announced the launch of its all-new mobile betting experience for Nevada sports bettors: B Connected Sports.
The name is the same as Boyd Gaming’s previous mobile app, but the betting experience has received a significant upgrade, thanks to IGT’s PlaySports technology solution. With B Connected Sports, Boyd Gaming can now offer Nevada bettors one of the widest selections of pre-game and in-gaming betting options in the state, with sports including football, basketball, baseball, hockey, tennis, golf, auto racing, darts and rugby, both from the United States and overseas.
In addition to a wider sports menu, the new Boyd Gaming app in Southern Nevada has improved aesthetics, readability and navigation. In game wagering is available for ‘most major sporting events’ along with instant scoring updates. Boyd also reports that players will enjoy more expedient confirmations of payouts on their betting options. The company is planning to add horse racing to the new app to give the B Connected Sports platform a complete wagering experience.
Bob Scucci, Boyd Gaming’s Vice President of Race and Sports Operations, had this to say about the company’s re-imagined sports betting app:
“Mobile and in-play sports betting are more popular than ever, so the new and improved B Connected Sports app comes at the perfect time,” said Bob Scucci, Boyd Gaming’s Vice President of Race and Sports Operations. “With B Connected Sports, we’ve created a mobile experience that is both easy-to-use and unrivaled in its selection of betting options, making it one of the most robust sports betting products in the state of Nevada.”
Boyd Gaming owns a total of 12 properties in Southern Nevada though three of these–the Eastside Cannery, Main Street Station and Eldorado Casino–remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this month, Boyd Gaming and FanDuel launched a mobile app in Illinois. Boyd owns the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino in East Peoria, Illinois and the app was released under the FanDuel brand name. FanDuel will eventually open a retail sports betting presence at the Par-A-Dice Casino.
