First-Place Showdown as Cardinals Host The Seahawks

by in NFL on

A pivotal NFC West showdown in Arizona as the Cardinals host the Seahawks in a game that could determine which team wins the division. Seattle sits at 7-5 atop the West while the Cards are 6-6. The way the rest of the conference shapes up, the NFC West will only send one team to the playoffs, the division winners.

Seahawks vs Cardinals

Just a few weeks ago the Seahawks were on the brink of looking ahead to 2025. After back-to-back losses to Buffalo and the Rams, Seattle went into San Francisco and upset the Niners and since then have won three straight and look like a completely different team. The defense, specifically, has stepped up in a big way allowing just 14.6 PPG in that span. As for the Cardinals, four straight wins had the league buzzing but then two straight losses, including a last minute loss to the Vikings last week after leading the entire game, has brought the Cards back down to reality. The offense has sputtered as Kyler Murray has only thrown one touchdown pass and three interceptions over the last two weeks.

Best Bet: Under 45.5 (-110)

It is a battle for first so it could have more of a playoff feel to it. Seattle’s defense sits in the top–10 since Week 8 and held the Cards to just 6 points in Week 12. On the flip side, the Seahawks offense has slipped to 28th despite scoring 26 last week vs the Jets. Arizona has had problems stopping teams on third-down but they are 7th in red zone touchdowns allowed. Both teams have hit the UNDER in five of their last six games and expect those trends to continue Sunday afternoon in the desert.
