Georgia, Texas Betting Odds: Best Prop Plays For Game of The Week

It is the biggest game of Week 8 featuring two teams considered favorites to vie for the National Championship. Oddsmakers have made Texas a -3.5 point favorite but expect a tight game between these two Top-5 teams. Let’s break this one down along with our best player prop bets.

(5-1) Georgia Bulldogs

After losing a heartbreaker on the road to Alabama, the Bulldogs have bounced back with a pair of conference wins by double-digits and Carson Beck has the offense humming along throwing for more 1,818 yards and 15 touchdowns. But now he takes on the top defense in the country as Texas allows just 126 passing yards per game. The defense, not as dominant as last year, ranked 28th overall and will have to find a way to slow down an offense putting up nearly 500 yards and 43 points per game.

(6-0) Texas Longhorns

The Longhorns have proven thus far they are the best team in the nation. Texas looked unbeatable last week against Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry scoring 34 unanswered points on their way to a 34-3 win. QB Quinn Ewers returned after missing time with an injury but didn’t miss a beat. The Texas offense ranks 10th in both yards per play and red zone efficiency. While the offense has been solid, the defense is the reason the Horns are No.1. They lead the country in points allowed and yards per play.

Best Bet: Georgia +3.5

Despite a loss, Georgia seems to be more tested this season having played the 12th toughest schedule while Texas’s strength of schedule is 64th. This is the first big test for the Horns and even with a loss should be in good shape to make the playoffs. Georgia would prefer not dropping a second game and at the very worst will keep this tight, and could come down to a late field goal. Give me the Dawwwgs!

Player Prop Best Bets

Quinn Ewers O254.5 Passing Yards
Carson Beck O 265.5 Passing Yards
Parlay +243

In what could be an early preview of the SEC Championship, we could see a game for the ages. Beck and Ewers could go toe-to-toe in a matchup between two quarterbacks who are 1-2 to be drafted first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Their lines will likely go up so jump in early if you can.
