- Hard Rock Bet is the only provider of sports betting in Florida’s ossified gaming ecosystem.
Hard Rock Digital is set to make waves in Florida’s sports and gaming scene through a strategic partnership with the NHL’s Florida Panthers, marking a significant move to broaden its footprint in the state. This collaboration heralds the debut of a gambling partnership for the Panthers and aims to elevate the profile of Hard Rock Bet, Florida’s sole provider of online sports betting, among the hockey community.
Nick Menas, Hard Rock Digital’s Managing Director of Corporate Strategy, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the unique offerings that Hard Rock Bet brings to hockey fans. “We’re stepping into Panthers territory with a promise to bring fans closer to the action than ever before. With a plethora of betting options across global sports and the opportunity to stream NHL games live via the Hard Rock Bet app, we’re set to deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience to hockey enthusiasts,” Menas stated.
The partnership will officially launch on April 9 during the Panthers’ home game against the Ottawa Senators at Amerant Bank Arena. Fans attending the game can look forward to a variety of on-site activations hosted by Hard Rock Bet and the Panthers, designed to enhance the game-day experience. Beyond the immediate excitement of the game, plans are in place to expand online and on-site activations in the upcoming season, ensuring fans have even more to look forward to.
In addition to energizing hockey fans, Hard Rock Digital has been busy expanding its operations. Last month, the company announced its acquisition of certain U.S. B2C assets from 888, a move following 888’s strategic decision to commence a “controlled exit” from the U.S. gaming market. While the financial specifics of the deal remain under wraps, the transaction is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2024. This acquisition signifies Hard Rock’s ambition to strengthen its presence in the U.S. gaming market, currently spanning Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, and Virginia, as 888 prepares to wind down its U.S. operations by 2025, pending regulatory approval.
This partnership between Hard Rock Digital and the Florida Panthers represents a merging of sports excitement and digital innovation, setting the stage for a dynamic fusion of hockey action and interactive gaming experiences for fans across Florida.
