But he’s also been getting it done with his legs running for 7 yards a carry with 654 rushing yards and 8 scores on the ground. Huff has had three 100-yard rushing games including 151 last week. Tre Stewart ran for 210 yards vs Middle Tennessee and as a team, the Gamecocks rushed for 438 yards. Jacksonville State will look to keep it on the ground as it is #5 in the country for rushing and facing a defense that allows just 115 yards on the ground. While the Gamecocks have the 10th best offense averaging 465.9 YPG, Liberty is 10th best allowing 321.3 YPG.
Liberty Flames
Liberty must be burning up after losing last week to Kennesaw State and can they bounce back at home? QB Kaidon Salter threw for 3 TDS and 206 yards last week but only completed 61% of his passes. He also led his team in rushing with 87 yards on 9 carries. The Flames will try to take advantage of the 105th ranked defense that allows more than 405 yards a game. Liberty will have to be aware of the Gamecocks when it comes to turnovers as Jacksonville State has the 7th most in the country with 15. While they are slight underdogs, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some action on Liberty by kickoff.
