- LiveScore has been the ‘go to’ site for in-running soccer scores for nearly two decades.
Kambi Group has been one of the big winners in the North American sports betting boom but their latest partnership is with a Europe based entity. The company has entered a long-term partnership with the LiveScore Group. This collaboration will see Kambi’s advanced sportsbook technologies deployed across LiveScore Group’s portfolio, which includes top-tier sports media platforms and dynamic online betting entities.
Kambi will be charged with powering the sports betting experiences for LiveScore Bet and Virgin Bet brands worldwide. This deal will go far beyond Kambi’s cutting-edge betting platform to include comprehensive managed services, AI-driven trading solutions and the customizable Bet Builder feature.
In a synergy of tech and innovation, LiveScore Group’s in-house product divisions will tap into Kambi’s open APIs. They will also harness the strength of Kambi’s engaging reward mechanisms and unique betting options to craft a distinct betting environment tailored for its international audience.
The deal is set to be a significant financial boon for Kambi, with substantial revenue projections starting from the second half of 2024, scaling up as LiveScore Group advances into established and emerging markets. Kambi will no doubt be happy from the revenue boost–despite strong growth their margins have been hit by expanding into the dysfunctional US betting ecosystem.
LiveScore Group, carved out in 2019 from the Gamesys Group, runs the prestigious LiveScore sports media brand—a powerhouse in real-time sports updates and streaming, boasting over 50 million daily followers in over 200 territories worldwide. The primary focus of the platform is soccer and LiveScore has been the ‘go to’ place for in-running soccer scores for over a decade.
The sportsbook ventures under LiveScore Group, specifically LiveScore Bet and Virgin Bet, have marked their territory in several international markets, notably making a splash in the UK. The partnership, which currently encompasses the Group’s operations in Gibraltar, Malta, and Nigeria, is set to launch LiveScore Bet to new heights alongside Kambi, transitioning from its existing third-party sportsbook solutions. This new phase is slated to kick off across multiple territories from the first quarter of 2024.
Kristian Nylén, Kambi’s CEO and co-founder, is always good for a quote:
“LiveScore Group possesses the key components we seek in a partner: robust and reputable sportsbook brands, a high-traffic media platform that serves as an excellent customer funnel, and a seasoned executive cadre. By harnessing Kambi’s sportsbook, LiveScore Group is well-positioned to realize its expansive aspirations, and we are excited to be a part of their growth story.”
LiveScore Group CEO Sam Sadi returns the kudos:
“Aligning with Kambi, a leader in the independent sportsbook domain, propels our trajectory in the bustling global sports betting landscape. Merging Kambi’s technological prowess with the robust betting platforms and media reach of LiveScore Group, plus the expertise of our in-house product teams, sets us up to deliver unparalleled betting experiences to our global user community.”
