Jamie Gold, who etched his name into poker history by winning the 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, is well known in the poker community. With 8,773 entrants and an $87,000,000 prize pool, Gold’s first-place prize of $12,000,000 was the largest in WSOP history until 2023.
