Scientific Games has secured a three-year contract extension with the Arizona Lottery, reaffirming its role as the technological backbone of the state’s lottery operations. The extension, part of an ongoing partnership spanning over four decades, positions Scientific Games to continue driving profit growth for the Lottery through significant technological upgrades and innovations.
Under the terms of the contract extension, Scientific Games will modernize the Arizona Lottery’s operations by deploying an advanced central gaming system. This system upgrade will include next-generation vending machines powered by the company’s proprietary SCiQ technology. The modernization aims to optimize lottery sales processes and further enhance the Lottery’s efficiency, ultimately contributing to greater returns for the state.
Since the current system was implemented in 2016, the Arizona Lottery has witnessed remarkable growth. Over the past eight years, the Lottery’s total sales have surged by 73%, a testament to the effectiveness of Scientific Games’ technology. The company’s expertise in lottery system implementations is well-established, with nearly 40 successful system executions and conversions to its credit since the Arizona system went live.

The central gaming system that powers the Arizona Lottery is fully integrated with Scientific Games’ state-of-the-art technology, including a retailer telecommunications network, point-of-sale terminals, SCiQ vending solutions, and in-store digital advertising displays. These components collectively support the operations of over 3,500 Arizona Lottery retailers statewide.
