- The M Resort Spa Casino has announced a sponsorship deal with the Vegas Knight Hawks of the Indoor Football League (IFL).
- The Knight Hawks are in their first year as a team and play home games at the brand new Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nevada.
- The M Resort is operated by Penn National Gaming and is also the ‘official hotel’ of the NFL Las Vegas Raiders.
Las Vegas’ newest professional sports team now has an ‘Official Team Headquarters Hotel’. The team is the Vegas Knight Hawks of the Indoor Football League (IFL) and they’ve entered into a promotional deal with the M Resort Spa Casino.
As you’ve probably surmised from the team’s nickname, the Knight Hawks are owned by Bill Foley’s sports enterprise aka Foley Entertainment Group. Foley also owns the NHL Vegas Golden Knights and the AHL Henderson Silver Knights. The Knight Hawks are in their first season in the IFL and play their home games in the 5,567 seat Dollar Loan Center in Henderson. The venue is also the home for the AHL Silver Knights.
It wasn’t that long ago that the M Resort was arguably the epicenter of the Las Vegas sports betting ecosystem. That was when the now defunct Cantor Gaming ran the sportsbook and attracted some of the biggest ‘sharps’ in town. Cantor Gaming was later rebranded as CG Sports and eventually acquired by William Hill prior to their acquisition by Caesars Entertainment. William Hill continues to run the sportsbook though how long that will continue remains unknown. Caesars appears to be trying to retire the William Hill brand and outside of Nevada they’ve just about done so. In Nevada, this is a more difficult task given the former William Hill’s massive presence as a third party sportsbook manager.
The property’s casino is now operated by Penn National Gaming, and the resort is owned by Penn National’s real estate spin off company Gaming and Leisure Properties. The M is located well off the Las Vegas Strip on the corner of St. Rose Parkway and Las Vegas Boulavard. The property is up on a bluff and offers views of not only the Las Vegas Strip but also the beautiful mountains ringing the Valley. Sports betting notwithstanding, The M has always been one of the city’s best kept secrets. The hotel has always been highly regarded, receiving both AAA Four Diamond and Forbes Four Star awards every year since 2010. The property has always been known for excellent dining options though the COVID pandemic has played havoc with food amenities throughout the city. Not sure about the other restaurants currently operating at the M but Anthony’s Prime Steak & Seafood has always been very good receiving the Wine Spectator Best Award of Excellence every year since 2012.
Here’s the official 411 from the press release making the announcement:
M Resort Spa Casino announced today that it is an Official Sponsor of the Vegas Knight Hawks. M Resort also announced earlier this month that they have partnered with the Henderson Silver Knights, becoming the newest member of the Silver Society, an exclusive group of founding partners for the Silver Knights, The Dollar Loan Center, and Lifeguard Arena.
As an Official Sponsor of the Knight Hawks, M Resort will have its logo prominently featured on dasherboard signage during Knight Hawks home games, as well as on the “Silver Screen” video board at The Dollar Loan Center.
Comments from Vegas Knight Hawks COOÂ Chase Jolesch:
“This newest agreement only further cements our relationship with M Resort, which will be such an important partner for our efforts in the Henderson community and for our fans. With kickoff for Knight Hawks football only days away at The Dollar Loan Center, M Resort will offer our fans first-class amenities that will add to a game day experience that no other IFL city can match.”
Comments from Hussain Mahrous, VP and General Manager of M Resort Spa Casino:
“We are proud to welcome the Vegas Knight Hawks to the local community and to celebrate M Resort’s designation as the Official Team Headquarters Hotel.
